The road home
Walcha and environs are in high country and the poplars seem to be the first trees to colour up. Where I live being so much warmer and close to the coast leaves just brown up and fall off. There is no or not much colouring.
The poplar trees were a stand out on the drive into Walcha and along Thunderbolts Way to Gloucester. They are a very popular (no pun intended) planting for alongside the road and lining drives to properties in the area. It was reasonably windy so golden leaves were blowing across the roads and had formed a golden carpet at the base of the trees. A pretty mundane shot but something that depicted the drive home.
I hope you all had a good Easter.
