Opening

My final activity in Seattle was a cruise which took in a very large number of lakeside homes, some floating, some occupied by billionaires (e.g. the Gates's 'estate').

This is the University Bridge opening to let an ocean-going yacht out of the freshwater harbours of Lake Washington. The roadway on this bridge is an open metal grille, which makes it very light and thus quick to open and close.
