Another close encounter

It seems this is my week for close encounters with nature. I was greeted by this huge spider in the kitchen sink this morning.

I did not rinse her away (yes, I am pretty sure its a she) as I was initially inclined to do. And after we all gazed upon her we picked her up and put her out.

I wonder what type she is?
