Tuesday: Swiss Chard

Until a few weeks ago, I had never even heard of Swiss chard.  Now it is all over the place - it is eaten a lot here and is called 'blitva'.  So we bought some, and researched how to cook it.  We sauteed it in garlic and white wine and it was most tasty.  We ate it with some unidentified fish (as in we didn't understand what it said on the packet, but it looked alright........) - we're still not sure what type of fish it was but we have decided to only eat identifiable fish from hereon in.

Apparently, Swiss chard is a member of the spinach family.  I used to work with someone called Stephen Chard - I wonder if he was also a member of the spinach family?

Track 101

And yes, this is an emergency blip.
