Maintenance Day
Today was my bi-annual maintenance service call for my ac/heating system. This was Frank. He was a really nice guy.
There was a problem with the start-up do-jiggy. It was using a lot of power every time the a/c was turned on and off. A very high rate.
Apparently, with the units that are a little "better' than the one they sold me just last June, there's a device that controls this power surge attached. I thought I was getting an energy efficient unit when I bought it last year. Today he tells me, yes, it was energy efficient compared to the one they replaced. Of course it had to be because the one that had been replaced was from 1999. Was I conned last year or now?
I think I just got conned into buying an air filter system I don't need, too. So I'm going to go right now and put a stop to the check and call them to cancel the order.
Sometimes, they sucker single, older women into stuff like this and we spend hundreds of dollars on stuff we don't need. I was really stupid today. But I'm not going to let them get away with it.
On top of everything, it's a miserable, windy, dark, cloudy day. Ten degrees cooler than it was supposed to be. No opportunities for an outdoor blip which has added to my foul mood. That's why you're stuck with Frank :-)
