This just got interesting

I decided to do something mad because I'm in my 30th year. Result: see above.

I have wanted to visit Central Asia for years and it's happening in a few weeks. It will probably be the toughest of my adventures to date if Soviet bureaucracy and surliness are anything to go by.

Hats off to the Uzbek embassy in London though. Sure, it took me 20 attempts to reach them by phone, and sure, they're only open 3 days a week from 10am - 1pm (!), but this visa only took a week to arrive.

Excitement is building.
