Beckett Bridge

Was meeting a friend in Dublin City to go for a Liffey Cruise and a meal and stay over. Forgot completely about the Household Tax protest march and came through town. Bad move. We nearly missed the cruise and we ended up having to get a taxi into town with a very animated taxi driver about the household charge and the banks.

The cruise was was very informative and pleasant with Ray our guide who had plenty of the Dublin humor to keep it interesting. We ended up catching up with the march by river at the 'Tube in the Cube', and on the way back the protesters gave us a big wave. Did I feel guilty? I don't feel strongly enough about it. We are going to paying it at some stage anyway and I don't want to be paying any fines.

The picture is of Beckett Bridge as we cruised underneath.

We had a great meal in Acapulco on Georges Street, delicious, then a drink or three somewhere and home. Great day.
