Stress effect 2

Yesterday's finger is covered with a dressing now and today the base of my thumb began to split. I've been putting cream on it and trying not to touch anything wet, like washing from the machine. I have to wear gloves to protect my hands. Seems to be only my right hand that gets so badly affected.

The riser recliner chair arrived today and it is fantastic. I don't have to do any lifting. It tilts forward and she can then stand up and start moving and I don't have to do a thing.

We also had a cushion delivered from Occupational Health which is the best cushion yet as it's a memory foam one, good quality and there are no zips to undo so she shouldn't be able to take this apart. Fingers crossed.

Still not heard anything from my sister in answer to two emails I sent her so it looks like she's not happy with me.

I can't let myself get too dragged down though so will just concentrate on looking after mum.
