Grindley Brook

Cruised back to Whitchurch this morning. Ali had to go back home cos she is working tomorrow. Shame. My son Simon and grandson Patrick joined me to help me back to Nantwich. This blip is the bottom lock at Grindley Brook near Whitchurh and as you can see Patrick is doing well opening the 'paddles'. There can be queues here and sometimes takes 2 - 3 hours to get through. It wasn't too bad today and we took about 1 hour. Stopped at Wrenbury overnight and had a nice meal in the Cotton Arms then watched 'Tin Tin' on the boat.
