Why?

Well I was looking at a photo magazine and there was a black and white picture of a pair of shoes with the caption "the most important piece of my photography gear". The guy always had these shoes on when taking photos etc etc.
So I thought I would try to do the same picture. Well quickly found it does not look good in b&w and anyway I like the colour of these shoes. They have been called my country shoes, should be worn with mole skin trousers and tweed jacket. And they are not the most vital piece of my photo equipment. What is? "Idiots guide to taking pictures" probably but still on chapter one
