Dalsnuten.

This morning we woke up to a beautifully sunny day, so after breakfast we all piled in the car and took a walk up Dalsnuten; it's a steep walk but the reward is a stunning view of the fjord that banks Stavanger and Sandnes. The views on the way up were just stunning and I had such a lovely range of photos to use for the day; sometimes Blip-picking is hard!

We stopped at the top of the hill in a sheltered spot for a sunny picnic and the last of the cake (who knew that 3 cakes for 4 days wouldn't be enough?) before picking our way back down. A dropped his lady off at work and we headed into Stavanger town centre for a quick beer at Hansen Hjørnet overlooking the harbour before a quick tour of the town centre from A.

It was mine and M's turn to make tea tonight, so we made chicken and leek pie in a creamy white wine sauce, and we were both quite proud of how it worked out! Especially since we had no chicken stock, so we had to run to the petrol station and I had the bright idea of using the chicken flavouring from two Norwegian-style instant noodles - I was proud of that one!

We had planned on getting in the hot tub again tonight but we worked out too late that the thermometer was broken, and M had been piling more and more wood into a tub that was already too hot! Not to worry, we had a lovely relaxing evening anyway, and the tub will be a perfect temperature for tomorrow morning!
