Turning point

To you it's a gate in a hedge.
To me it's a reference point for a race organiser so he puts a turning point in the right place.
By producing detailed descriptions with photos to support them the organiser is able to lay out the course as I measured it.
The attention to detail is important so athletes complete the correct course.
I rather like the posts on this gate. Someone put a lkot of pride into making those.
In other news, it appears I have been making the news myself, with press reports in the Lancashire Evening Post and the Blackpool Gazette and Sportsbeat
I do wish the author had paid the same attention to detail I pride myseslf on, and that used by the gate post maker. Despite my request that he send me the text for me to proof read before publication, he went ahead and published before I checked it.
So if you do read it please bear in mind I have run 10 marathons not 12
