A Great Day For Sport!

Early start for F1 qualifying this morning, unusually it will be an all Mercedes front row for tomorrow's race, their first since returning to F1 back in 2010.

Had a quick trip down to Torquay to buy a car for Gem, only a little Clio but it'll do the job getting her to work for her late shift once a week, what's more it's a really tidy little car considering its nearly 16 years old.

Have spent the afternoon glued to the TV to watch the mighty Reds book their place in the FA Cup final to face either Spurs or Chelsea at Wembley on 5th May, tickets will be almost impossible to buy but it's worth a try I guess. Gem's beloved West Ham also managed a win today 6-0 against Brighton, I think it may be a little too late for automatic promotion but good to see them hitting good form ready for the play-offs. Finally my rugby team Exeter Chiefs guaranteed a Heineken Cup place for next season with a win away at Worcester, a win next week will secure a place in the play offs, not bad for a team in only their 2nd premiership season.

Now for an evening of mind numbing Saturday night telly, wonder how many names get dropped on "the voice" tonight?
