This engine was built in December 1872 in Brighton - and it's still running (after being overhauled and having a new boiler fitted). Today it was running as part of the "Grandparents' Special Weekend" at the K&ESR - grandparents travel free or something. I was there to collect Cal who turned up his usual filthy self. Before that I'd had a wonderful lunch with Rowan at Carluccio's. All up a very smashing day.
