Today's the day ............................. to go to the show

The Damson Day Show in the Lyth Valley is very special and very particular to this part of the English Lake District. Every year it gets a little bit more professional - with more and more to see and do - and of course damsons feature in a myriad of ways.

I don't remember seeing these furry creatures before. There is something so comical about them - almost as if they have been assembled from miscellaneous bits of other animals. And as for that face - it reminds you of a sheep/dog/horse/camel!
