The South Side
Wonderful days hiking with Earthdreamer on the ridge of Sheeps Head. We started with a climb up Seefin ( the seat of Finn McCool ), the highest mountain on the peninsula. The clouds were really dramatic and we were surrounded by wispy showers, although amazingly none of them fell on us. The ridge is very up and down and dissected by small cols, this view is to the south, a softer landscape than the wild north side, with more people and farming activity. Beyond Dunmanus bay and the Mizen. Our final descent was down Gouladane, from here there was a great view of the farm, a cuppa was calling and now the fire's roaring, it's seriously chilly outside!
