New arrival.

I'd read about how giving a realistic baby doll to someone with dementia calms them down. Mum doesn't really need calming down but I thought it might make her more content as she does worry about her 'children' quite a bit.

So I bought this doll and introduced it to her today. It has been an interesting event. She has enjoyed her time with it and I think it has made her feel happier having something or should that be someone, to look after.

She seems to be enjoying it if it's a baby while still realising it is a doll, because she said something about it being her doll when I asked if she'd like t0 cuddle it in bed and she said she would.

Missed blipping yesterday. I hardly seem to have much time lately and will catch up and reply once I've got myself organised better.

The new chair is great but I'm having problems trying to work out the best way of using it to transfer her to her wheeled commode and then to bed and getting her out of bed, dressed and onto the chair in the mornings.
