View of Pen-y-Ghent
We drove to Lancashire today as our walk started in the village of Paythorne, near Guisburn.
It was a beautiful sunny morning although only 5c.
This 7 mile walk took us through farmland. ( much easier than last week )
Wonderful views of the hills back in Yorkshire!
We had clouds later but it was still mainly sunny.
Bird song all along the way, and although we didn't see any we could hear the curlews which have come inland to their nesting sites.
The new born lambs were frolicking about in the fields.
Primroses along the lanes.
Back to the car, and a drink in the pub before the drive back home
Just a joy to be out in the counrtyside on such a lovely Spring day!
