inspired by the humble dandelion

Why do we under-rate the dandelion so? It's a wonderful splash of colour in the Spring. I've never made wine with the flowers or 'coffee' with the roots but I have used the leaves in a green salad. Little ones learn to tell the time while blowing away the seeds and we used to entertain ourselves on the way home from school making trumpets with the stems.

Bees love the nectar and rabbits love the leaves. So, should I include them in our wild garden? They are already thriving in the front lawn!
