inspired by new building

I wandered down an alleyway off Wildman Street in Kendal this morning and came across this new building. I was struck by the unconventional way that slate has been used, beautifully highlighting its subtle colours. I love the way that the window has been dovetailed in between the slates.

Perhaps I'll wander round to the other side next time and see how the entrance has been designed.
