Rock Climber

Out and about today in the hills we came across a small party of youngsters climbing the biggest rock in the Glenmalure Valley. This boulder isn't very high but it is very smooth and there are no obvious finger or toe holds. Well, not obvious to my eye anyway although the experienced guys were obviously able to see things I couldn't see. During our time there, only two managed to get to the top. Every other attempt ended in a thudding drop onto a flimsy looking blanket spread out on the ground.
