Stumped

We put in a bit of a shift at the allotment - lots of changes happening up there, not all good by any means. But the sparrows were still squabbling happily over the bird seed and a few seedlings had come up (turnip? my labelling is almost non-existent!).

On our way back across the Links we saw they'd felled and removed a big tree that I think was still standing, albeit ring-barked, last time we walked along this path. Hadn't realised what an interesting shape it was till it had gone. Think its last hoorah must have been this - possibly the fourth from the left.
