Concentric
On my shelf I have a whole collection of shells and stones collected from various places around the globe. I have blipped them before but that was a decidedly uninspiring photo so I took a second shot.
I like shells and stones with holes in and I have quite a few so I decided to do something with them. This took a while to set up but I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I spent ages playing with the focus trying to decide how far back the focus should be as obviously I could bring different layers into focus as I chose. Eventually I decided to put focus on the rock and the shell just in front as I thought those were the most interesting bits but I'm still not sure.
I also like the imagery of the ever tightening circles but also the seeming light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sure it could be very symbolic of something but can't put my finger on what exactly? The lure of the sea? suggestions?
