One who hides from the breeze
Has changed faster than the eye can see
And claims it all rests on me,
My always frightened way, and I
The window's tracks once rusted shut
I noted this, reserved and fearful, but
After a lesson learned, he wakes
Rain drops fill the day
The ground soaked with knowledge and lust
The flood mimicking memories of trust
It's more than just memories, though
Today he breaks through the rust
And as the rain begins to soak the ground
He wants me to hear the pitter patter of trust
And know that he opened the window
Because the sound of lust
Is more than just my heart and I
But his brave body too
