Another Languedoc year...

Rising, rising

It's freezing here and we've had iffy weather for about three weeks now. As a result we've had slow progress on the new house.

The huge lorry that delivers the white blocks can't get up the entrance to the house if the road is even a tiny bit damp. It just slips and the builders have to wait until it's dry, so they've run out of materials from time to time.

Now, however, they are hard at it again and the walls are rising once more. The wing in the foreground is at the final height, but the middle white section has to rise to 5.5 metres. The car is at the level of the (rather large) crawl space. No crawling required as it's 2 metres high.
