Sleepy Cherryblossom

The Bride and Groom.

It's been an absolutely wonderful day.

Claire looked so stunning and the pair of them were just incredibly happy! The service at Cramond Kirk was beautiful and the sun came out as they were signing the register, just in time for the photos, perfect! I was a very frustrated photographer all day because I couldn't be behind a camera and do all the bridesmaidy things at the same time! Maggie managed to get this shot through the crowd of folk outside the Church though and I really like it :)

We had the reception back at Noton House Hotel and it was just lovely, drinks and canapes outside in the sunshine, catching up with loads of friends and family, really delicious dinner, fab speeches from dad, Andy and Owen and lots of dancing. It was a perfect day, everything went wonderfully!

Here's a wee snippet from dad's speech -

An Ode for Claire and Andrew's Wedding Day

Family and friends are gathered here
To celebrate the union we hold so dear
With the two Margaret mums as proud as punches
This is surely better than Guild or Art Club lunches

In preperation to this special event
Where participants spend dress-up hire or rent
We're sure it comes as no surprise
That aboun them aw the bride wins the prize

As the day progresses and festivities begin
Andy the groom promised later he would sing
Accompanied by Claire his bride
Who said she would be loath to leave his side

Indeed she seemed emotional and a bit choky
Which augered well for her karaoke
The sum and substance of today
Is that Claire and Andy have embarked on matrimony

It behoves us all to ponder it well
And in doing so please excuse this doggerel

It gives me great pleasure and I hope you agree
The look in their eyes is for all to see
Their future together goes with our best wishes
As long as Claire does the cooking and Andy washes the dishes
