Living Art
Here's a couple, late at night, enjoying the latest exhibit of Washington's Hirshhorn Museum. For eight weeks, artist Doug Aitken is illuminating the entire facade of the building, transforming it into "liquid architecture" and urban soundscape, to the beat of "I only have eyes for you." At times, the building is emphasized; at others, it disappears completely into the content of the artwork.
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. It was intriguing for a bit and certainly different. The endless repetition of the same song got on my nerves after the first 10 mns and I had to walk away (really far away....) :)
