Beer, hammock and sun!

I arrived in Santa Marta today at around 11am, kind of tired after travelling all night. Everything went pretty well, my bags came out quickly, I had a little man pushing my luggage around and I got a taxi to the hostel.

When I arrived at the hostel it was exactly what I expected it to be if not better! It is more like a mini resort than a hostel and my room was lovely and clean and cooool with aircon. It wasn't long til I was trying out the hammocks around the pool. For lunch I ate in the Italian restaurant, although I ordered a burger and chips as I was just so hungry I need something big. I spent the rest of the day chilling by the pool, reading and doing things I usually don't have any time to do.

When the evening arrived I worried cause I hadn't heard from the organisation I'm working for. So I sent the director an email and it turns out that he thought I was staying in a different hostel and had been looking out for me there. Anyways he seemed lovely and arranged to pick me up at my hostel at 7.15am tomorrow!!! Early night it is tonight then...I didn't mind too much as I was shattered anyways from travelling. I had a beer and chilled in the hammocks for a few hours before bed, definitely loving life in this little hostel!
