Last day in Bolivia :(
We were all up early today to go to the Sopocachi market to purchase ingredients for my farewell dinner. Afterwards we headed to the Consulado for brunch...definitely my favourite place ever for brunch! It's super cute with real coffee and tea and the man who works there is lovely. It was a perfectly girly meal for my last day.
After, on the way back to the flat we ran into to some sort of culture festival and there was folkloric dancing on a stage and lots and lots of market stalls :) yay more shopping! Carina, Helena and I bought little friendship bracelets there.
When we got back to the flat we got in tidy mode for the new arrival, and my replacement, Caroline. And then it was into cooking mode whilst I tried my hardest to get myself in packing mode, but as per usual this ended up taking me the entire day to do. The meal was lovely! Sharoll cooked us some yuca, a chicken dish, beef dish, rice, potatoes and veggies. But the best part was definitely the homecooked dessert of passionfruit mousse which was yum!
It was sad saying bye to Sha and that's when the tears began. I spent the rest of the night getting organised and enjoying my last few hours with my familia. We didn't get to watch Amelie either, and Rodrigo even managed to turn the commentary off. At 1am I said goodbye and got a taxi to the airport. I know I'm going to miss here a hell of a lot but I'm very excited for my new adventure in Colombia.
