Ruins at Cahergal
The rain of yesterday cleared to blustery showers, amazing clouds and intense light!
Time for one last hike, before heading to the airport, to a very special part of the Sheeps Head, an area known locally as the Crimea, this route takes in some very dramatic coastal scenery, the old copper mines and some ruins, which had been home to several families, we pondered on how hard it must have been surviving on such marginal land.
The sea was wild after yesterdays storm and we wave watched for a while at The Cove, Earthdreamers blip captures the energy of the sea wonderfully! It's been such a pleasure to share my home place with such an appreciative visitor, we have certainly packed a lot into this past week! Very special too when a connection through blip becomes a very real friend, I've a feeling I might be blipping the beautiful scenery of the Dales in the not too distant future!
