Inigo Jones and the Temple of Doom

Not so much a Temple of Doom, I admit; more a Temple in bloom by the looks of the trees. This little oasis of calm is St. Paul's in Covent Garden. Designed by none other than Inigo Jones himself. It's known locally as the 'Actor's Church', with some wonderful memorials inside dedicated to some of the greats of the silver screen: Noel Coward, Vivian Leigh, Margaret Rutherford, Charlie Chaplin and even the rather bawdy Marie Lloyd. It's a lovely place to sit and enjoy the spring blossom and escape the noise of London especially if blessed with a coffee and a muffin...
