When i came on the bridge before six this morning it was still dark. When you are towing, looking astern is just as important as looking ahead. For years and years, my first steps in the morning are taking a shower, get a cup of coffee, go to bridge and look astern to the tow first. I was very surprised to see a aftdeck I never saw before. Not only surprised because of all the work the crew had done during the night and last few days, but also because my birthday is tomorrow. But who cares, i was really surprised, pleasantly surprised, and that can be considered as an understatement.
