A beautiful, sunny day on Jura

What a gorgeous day we had cycling back south to the ferry at Feolin. We stopped to walk around the coast and Ardfin Gardens at Jura House. Wonderful, wonderful. We found the site of a chambered cairn dating from around 2,000 years ago. What history this island has. Of course, mainland Britain has this history too, but it was all built over centuries ago, whereas the history can be more apparent on these more lonely isles.

It was difficult choosing a photo for today. The birds and flowers of Ardfin were fantastic.
