I'm starting to develop a bit of an obsession with that form of street art; you may well see more of it in the weeks to come. This one caught my eye because of the old chap who was taking it upon himself to do a bit of urban cleaning in that area. Good on him!

I went to cast my vote in the first round of France's presidential elections today. I was fully expecting to spend hours waiting in long queues in the sweltering heat (as we all did last time around at the embassy -- someone had even passed out!). But apparently the fonctionnaires got the message and arrange for another bureau de vote in Washington's French School. I was in and out of there in under 10mns! whooo hooo! So we've either gotten more efficient or there is a record low DC voter turn-out...

I'm looking out my window right now and watching a huge storm come in: first one of the season. How exciting! :)
