Street Food

Tonight we went out to the 'walking street' in Lamai. Very popular with the locals. They close of some streets and set up a market - the clothes etc were pretty tacky but the food stalls were amazing. All sorts of food and smells, all being freshly prepared.

This was our Rick Stein moment, Gill was remembering an episode of Rick Stein when he ate street food in Thailand, well tonight we ate street food! We tried some tiny omelettes, sweet potato balls and pad thai. They were all freshly made and delicious...lets hope I'm still thinking that in the morning!

I love this photo because what you don't realise just by looking at it is that he is selling bugs!!! This family were buying some from him and he when he handed them the bag they asked for more! I'm not so sure the baby is convinced though :-)

Back to Mysore practice tomorrow morning, looking forward to it.
