Clear cut

Wandered off piste with the weans this morning and ended up deep in some clear cut. Managed to get som nice shots out of it.

Decided to follow the advice of Lee Frost in this months B&W and expose to the right of the histogram without clipping the highlights and process the RAW. To be honest the RAW files looked like washed out shit but a bit of coaxing before handing over to Silver eFex Pro and I had some really nice files with loads of tonal range to work wioth. I'm converted.....

Off to see a band called Dry The River with gig buddie MkII (Pauline) tonight. Album is really good, hope they are. If I get any good shots I'll pop them in a folio.
