Fallen tree
We did a (very) short section of the West Highland Way today from Milngavie heading through Mugdock wood as a preparation for L's Scout expedition challenge next weekend. To our delight the rain stayed away, the weather was mild and fairly bright and we had a good walk.
On the return leg we afforded ourselves some stops for blip opportunites. The bluebells, aconites and other assorted wildflowers were very tempting but in the end my favourite was this tree which had broken in half. The layers in the wood attracted me and I liked the patterns this created.
