Family divisions
The rain was bouncing off the ground again today and much of the afternoon was spent building Lego models, lining up cars/animals/playmobil people and generally pottering about the house.
By late afternoon the rain had eased off and the sun was beginning to shine and so with the tea time roast happily cooking in the oven, I took the opportunity to nip out for a bit of fresh air.
I went to see if anyone wanted to come with me. The little one jumped at the chance and ran to put on his wellies. My lovely husband and the older one however, showed no signs of moving. They were curled up on the sofa listening intently to David Tenant's brilliant reading of 'How to twist a dragons tail'.
And so the 'cant sit still' division of the family headed off down to the river in search of the ducks and their babies and whatever else we might find. It was a great hour or so of quality puddle splashing fun. It seems the 'do we have to go out again' division had just as bliss an hour at home with no-one around to interrupt their listening!
