The View from Dead Horse Gap

We had a great day in the Snowies today.

It started off wet but we went for a walk before breakfast anyway!

Then we drove from Crackenback to Khancoban, along the Alpine Way, it's a stunning drive and fortunately the weather cleared up and turned nice!

Along the way there are patches of gum trees that are bright white and completely bare due to bush fires nearly ten years ago. The result is a very eerie landscape, it's really amazing!

Fire is blazing, an amazing Orkney Brewery Dark Island Reserve Aged Ale ( last years birthday present from Andrea ) is being drunk! It is amazing and unfortunately impossible to find anymore!

Second day in the Snowies and it was even more fun than yesterday!

It's due to snow tomorrow..... fingers crossed!
