Herring Girl

This is one of two statues in Stornoway, around the harbour area, to commemorate the heritage of the girls/women who worked with the herring fleets. These lovely statues are life-sized and really evocative of the times past. They stand in the corner of different car-parks - perhaps I will blip the other statue too one of those days...
