He's awake!

Sometimes, very occasionally, Jakey is wide awake, as shown here.

Right at this moment he is very awake.
Well, probably.
Out mousing or maybe rabbiting as we speak.
He has plenty of scope.
Also much scope for pheasanting too.

My phone is suggesting that pheasanting is not a word.
I suggest that it is.
And Jakey backs me up on that one.

Hoping he doesn't catch the rare white one that comes into the garden.
Or Mr & Mrs Usual Colour Pheasant either, come to think of it.

Do pheasants sleep at night and if so where?
Up a tree?
Under a bush?
With one eye upon Jakey?
