Officialdom

As a UK Athletics official I am asked to attend road running events to referee. It is not an onerous task (mainly because I only agree to go the good events) and it's fun.
Basically all I have to do is complete a checklist and submit a short report about the race.

UK Athletics decided recently to change the name to event adjudicator and part of it was to issue these arm bands.
I don't have large arms but I had to open it out to its maximum setting to get it on my arm, so I reckon it won't fit a lot of officials!
I'm not sure that is the correct spelling of licence either!

When I got the armband I immediately thought of Dad's Army!
I fully expect the tin hat any day now!
