70, 80, 90

Today we went to the first of my mum's birthday parties... apaprently she thinks that because this year's birthday has a 0 at the end of it, she is entitled to have multiple birthday celebrations. Well, ok then.

This was a tea-dance celebrating 6 people's birthdays - 3 at 70, 2 and 80 and 1 at 90. Cripes. Lots of Glenn Miller and Vera Lynn, post-war recollections and lots and lots of cake.

(and I iced the cake - never done royal icing before, and I was quite pleased with the result)
