Evening birds

From the vantage point of my new office, at the end of the day I see the sparrows coming in to roost. They swoop and wheel above the buildings, some settling on tv aerials and other high points. Then they fly down to the pohutukawa trees on The Terrace and Lambton Quay for the night. As they pause en route, we get to enjoy their silhouettes.
