Would it get planning permission?

The iconic Blackpool Tower taken from the new headland directly in front.
I can't help wondering if it would get planning permission today but it has certainly stood the test of time.
The blue hoarding is covering work to return the front to its original Victorian state. Thankfully the tiling was only covered and not ripped out by previous owners.
The Tower is now free to enter and you pay for the activities you want to do. At £45 to do everything it may be a bit steep for the average family. Time will tell.

Later this year the Headland will play host to Elton John, The Wanted, McFly. Blue are said to be re-forming and are also booked.

The cloud did burst and it has rained most of the day. But I like running in the rain and enjoyed tonight's run.
