AprilChallenge - Looking Down

Knowing that the person who sets these challenges has a love of maps it got me thinking!!

I remember when being trained as a forward air controller (bloke on the ground who guides ground attack fast jets onto their target) that when conducting medium level controls where the aircraft is at 10-15000 feet, the way to describe the ground to the pilot was by placing a 1:50,000 scale map on the floor and then standing up. The size of things on the map when you stood up is about the same as the view a pilot has if the ground from that altitude (10-15k ft)

So as you can see a map is the ultimate representation of looking down!!!
