lilacs in the rain

We are having a great harvest of lilacs here this year - it started early and the bushes are bursting with blooms! I have tried many times to capture the abundance but my efforts all looked flat. Then today this single bloom just popped in the midst of a small cloud burst. Ah, that ambient light does wonders!
