Outdoorsy Kind of Day
Today was an absolutely gorgeous perfect day. The sun was shining, there was little to no wind, and the temperature was perfect! The kids and I left the house a little after 9 am and headed to Kalamoir Park. The Wild Arrowleaf Balsam Root flowers are just gorgeous this time of year and they are absolutely everywhere you look in Kalamoir.
We spent a couple hours hiking around the trails and playing at the edge of the lake and then headed into town. After a quick stop at the Sheepskin Boutique (I decided on new inserts for my slippers instead of new slippers) we picked up lunch from Mcdonalds and headed to Ava's favorite playground for a picnic lunch.
Then we headed back home for a quick rest before heading out again to our garden plot to do some work. We were there for over 2 hours but I finally got the plot all fixed up and ready for planting. I did plant some onions and will plant the rest tomorrow when we go to the annual potluck gathering.
Our total time outside in the sun today was around 5 hours!
