Morning has broken

Woke early despite planned lazy Sunday. Was surprised at how quickly the sky lightened. These 2 photos were taken only 3-4 minutes apart, starting at 0638hrs- just enough time to put kettle on, and look out window again. I loved the different colours as dawn progressed.

Apparently dawn is the best time to sing if you're a bird (tweet, tweet), as the air is generally calmer. I certainly felt nice and calm.

I still managed to have a lazy day despite showering and dressing before 7. I've spent the morning watching movies, reading, and drinking coffee. Instant when I make it and Harrod's Italian blend when Mr P made it - nice and strong.

Did some people watching when footie started - the usual crowd-- family flying kite, dog walkers, promenaders, joggers, gulls flocking, and oh yes the people practising sword duels on the sands. I wasn't sure if it was bokkens/ swords or lightsabres. There may have been a potential blipper taking photos complete with tripod. Helped pass 20 mins or so.
