Fun!

What a day its been! We started off going pottering about town doing some last jobs for a party this evening, getting the presents finished and things, before we headed to gymnastics. Katie was having a brilliant time today, she was really getting stuck in, and doing well, both teachers came and said what a particularly good session she was having. She loved the "going backwards" activity, crawling, wriggling, walking back over various things. True to form she raced to the front of the line for the bars. She wasnt sure at first about hanging from the beam "being a monkey" but eventually had a go.

After nastics, we went to see baby Amelie for a little while. Katie had a play in Amelie's cot as I did a few quick photos for Amelie's mum, then Katie had a lovely long snuggle with Amelie on the sofa and gave her lots of kisses.

From there, we headed to see Jack and Abbie. Katie was so excited as we've not seen them in ages. The kids were adorable together, back to their usual hilarious mischief and fun within seconds of our arriving. We baked buns with them, which is whats going on in the blip. Katie ended up in rather a mess as Jack, very kindly, wanted to share the licking of the whisk with her. But missed passing it to the her hand and got her head and hair. So they ended up in the tub having a splash. After which Katie tried on her bridesmaid dress for Abbie's wedding in 5weeks time. She looked adorable!

Next stop of the day was afternoon tea with the Cousins. Katie always seem so at home there, she is just at ease. Its as though she knows that it was her home for a while and is really happy to go visit. Even more happy to see the Cousins, who today taught her Piggy in the Middle. Which was so fun that a second ball was introduced. Until Katie got a bit excited, grabbed it, put it in her mouth and punctured it.

Last visit of the day was to Harrison and Aiden. The children were supposedly having tea and settling to bed together, as we were throwing a surprise baby shower for a friend. Katie didnt sit for long for tea before she came and tried to help with the preparations. She wasnt keen on going to bed either, so stayed up and joined the party for a while. She sat under the food table for a fair bit of it, just asking people to pass her food and playing with Monkey, until she asked for the sofa, a pillow and a blanket, before I took her up to bed.
